This sleeve is very nice. I have it for another laptop. My only caution is 17" Mac books are smaller than other 17" notebooks. The cover is velcro so easy open and close. My favorite for a light weight protection. I leave my laptop in this case to go through security screening.

I missed the fact that this was for Apple Laptops only. However, I use it carry papers to meetings.

Bought this for my 17" Powerbook... and though it does fit... you really have to force it in... and it is equally as difficult to remove. I'm a little uncomfortable having to handle such an expensive piece of equipment so roughly just to get it in and out of this "glove".

I'm hopeful that after a bit of use the fabric might stretch a little, making it easier to get my mac in and out of it.

It is convenient and light, a nice alternative to having to lug around a briefcase.

I bought this product thinking it would provide a nice thin layer of protection for my expensive MacBook Pro - my laptop bag has some zippers and I'm wary of scratching the case when I take the laptop out. Unfortunately, as another reviewer mentioned, the case just doesn't fit correctly. It is absolutely too tight. It takes some wrestling just to get the computer started into the case, and after that it's a matter of how much force I'd like to use to get it to go in the rest of the way. I gave up forcing it further at about two inches left - it's that tight. I tried it a few times, tried stretching it out by hand, but nothing I do makes it fit. Perhaps over time and with enough force the case would eventually become usable, but honestly, I didn't buy a case so that eventually it would be usable.

I would definitely not recommend this case. It takes too long to get the computer started into the case, and once it is in the pressure is much higher than it ought to be. I also wonder about the quality of materials used...the logo on mine is slightly skewed and the case generally feels cheap. That said, if you want to try your luck, don't buy it here - you can get it for $9.99 plus $3 shipping on Case-Mate's website. Unfortunately, it's not even worth that much. Now to see if I can convince them to pay for return shipping for this defective product...
